Is Seeing Believing?

The day I put on my first pair of eyeglasses had a profound effect on my life. Suddenly, the fuzzy, confusing world I had known for so long burst into brilliant clarity and focus. It was like seeing for the first time. I felt this miracle was no less than a personal gift from God to me. Although I have become accustomed to my vision correction through the years. I like to relive that moment sometimes, especially when God seems distant. I take my glasses off for a while and look at the distorted world around me. It is a simple reminder of what we learn in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV), We live by faith, not by sight. This simple act also provides a glimpse of what life would be like without the focus and clarity that only God’s love and guidance can provide.
